WARBIRD RIDES

FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC:  Numerous museums and non-profit groups operate vintage Warbirds by selling rides to the general public.  The prices for these rare aircraft rides vary depending on the aircraft type and the length of the ride.

See the notes associated with each ride below.

These are called ride hoppers, and there will be 11 ride hoppers in operation at the gathering of Warbirds and Legends.

Warbirds and Legends has taken extraordinary efforts to provide the most unique in and varied options for the chance to experience flight in these historic aircraft.

There is no advanced registration or sales.  In order to buy a Warbird ride, simply go through the main gate and proceed to the Warbird ride ramp area.  On duty personnel will meet you, answer your questions, and take payment for the ride that you wish to purchase. The pilots and aircraft crew will escort you to on to the aircraft loading area and to your aircraft.  There will be plenty of time for photos, group photos, etc after your ride is complete.  Ask your flight crew for the shot that you want and they will be happy to help you.  All Ride hoppers will be in operation for August 2, 3 and 4.  Rides are first come first serve.

All ride hoppers operate as their own business entity and provide their own insurance, liability waivers, and passenger restrictions. All proceeds generated by ride Hoppers are collected and retained by each individual entity providing the ride in support of their aircraft.

Warbirds and Legends does not receive any fee or commission from these sales, but we very much appreciate your continued support of these vintage aircraft in order to keep them flying!

  3)     Limited to 220 pound person.

  4)     Prices may vary according to ride position.

  5)     Cockpit position is $500 per person, the remaining 4 positions are for the bomb bay area.

  6)    This is the famed Grumman F7-F powered by a pair of R-2800 engines.  It is a 2 seat Marine aircraft and there are only 7  of these aircraft still flyable in the world.  This aircraft is faster than a P-51, and is rarely used for ride hopping.  This is a truly rare opportunity.
