FRIDAY AUGUST 2, 2013 – MEDIA DAY!

FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC:
The gates open at 9 a.m. 
Food and non food vendors open at 10 a.m
Static displays open on the ramp at 10 a.m.
Warbird rides in operation at 10 a.m.
 

SLOT RECIPIENTS AND THEIR REGISTERED GUESTS:

FREE  LUNCH, DINNER, BEER AND WINE, LIVE MUSIC AFTER 7PM - (Participating SLOT HOLDERS only.)
100 LL $2.00/GAL  UNLIMITED.

FOR REGISTERED MEDIA:
FREE MEDIA RIDES FOR PRE ARRANGED MEDIA
ALL AIRCRAFT AND CREWS AVAILABLE FOR PHOTOGRAPHS AND INTERVIEWS.

 

 1PM FLIGHT PROGRAM:
 WWII 3 ship Parachute drop, 36 jumpers simultaneously
 3 ship Harpoon flight
 2 ship C1-A flight
F7-F Demo flight
3 ship Stearman flight
3 ship gooney flight
30 ship mass formation flight

 

The airport will operate under a NOTAM for August 2 – 4.  All pilots are required to download the NOTAM and carry a copy on board their aircraft for operation within the class D airspace. The airport will not be closed at any time.  Special flight procedures will be in effect for all three days, with emphasis on remaining clear of the designated warbird operating area during the 1 PM to 3 PM daily warbird demonstration time. Arrivals and departures should monitor ATIS for information and contact the tower prior to entering the Topeka Forbes class D airspace
