WARBIRD RIDES FOR VETS
Veteran: any person who has served in
the active U.S. military and been
subsequently discharged or released.
As the number of actual “WWII period” vets grows
smaller, we want to take opportunity to recognize
and salute those that participated in this greatest
generation, and this "Herculean" effort to preserve
freedom in America during that time. It is our
intent to offer free and unlimited general admission
access to the ramp and grounds by any vet from this
period, as well as any family members accompanying
them. Our intent is to offer free rides aboard a
participating aircraft for those WWII vets that are
pre-registered and confirmed.
All Free Warbird rides for Vets Rides and associated
media coverage will be scheduled in advance.
If you are a WWII vet, or the family of a vet,
please contact Scott Glover directly at:

CAPTAIN and main point of contact for this special
program for the 2013 gathering of Warbirds and
Legends is Mr. Scott Glover of Mt. Pleasant, TX.
Scott owns an original D Day C-47 “Sky King” that
had extensive involvement in numerous theatres of
Europe during World War II.
Scott has given hundreds of free rides to vets all
across America and has offered to coordinate this
effort during the gathering using Sky King and
several other aircraft. Mr. Glover recently
operated Sky King in San Antonio, Texas where he
hosted the World War II glider pilots reunion and
gave more than 140 rides to these American hero’s at
his own expense.
Scott is assembling his team of pilots and aircraft
that will give away these warbird rides during the
gathering. All prospective vets that would like a
ride should pre-register for planning purposes.
